New Paintball tankers tshirt

A new t-shirt from TSP has been released for the paintball tank drivers out there that would like the armored division emblem used in the army. Instead of just having the armored emblem, the shirt also shows that the shirt is about paintball. So you get the look of a army emblem but you also get the lable of being apart of the paintball community. This will be the first of a series of shirts from the Paintball Army. Check out the PB on Wheels : Paintball tank emblem Sleeveless T-shirt.

Mil/Sim Paintball teams, have you been on one?

After joining the Spartans alittle before may, I've been privey to a whole new style of playing scenario paintball. I've seen many mil/sim paintball type teams before. I've seen them on the field of play too, and some impressed me. If you have been on a Mil/Sim paintball team, let me know what your experience was like by leaving a comment.

Jim Helton on Leadership in Scenario Paintball

Jim "hangernaid" Helton has been a great influence on the scenario paintball field as a leader and massing paintball players into organized groups. He will be interviewed on Blast Radius Woodsball Podcast on June 20th. Check it out.
He is also the producer for Fledgling Scenario's which takes a stance of giving better games than many smaller games.
He also helped a Leadership course at OK D-Day that presented small unit tactics and effectiveness. Here is a article of that at Paintball News.

Last day for Oklahoma D-Day for 2008

Yep today was the last day for OK D-Day 2008. Another year in the books. I wasn't able to make it this year and really miss going. It's so much fun to witness, see, and be apart of. I know it's sorta close to be seeing video and such just yet from the event but I found some goodies to tide you over till then.

1. A group from the UK came all the way over for the game last year and they documented it on youtube. The series is called Uk Scenario team-Oklahoma D-Day and its on timbarnett's channel.

2. Finsc of UMS (underground mod shop) has posted some early pics on their forum. Check them out.

3. 68caliber.com has also posted some early pics from this week at OK D-Day.

That should be all for now. My D-Day is at Blanding this june.

Multicam, a cool new alternative to Paintball uniforms.

Multicam could be a new choice for woodsballers. It really does have a camoflauge appeal to it. If your not sure of it's effectiveness, check out Home of Multicam and look at the image of the brick wall. I couldn't believe it escaped me that a person was standing in front of it. Another place that sells cheaper things in multicam would be at www.ebaybanned.com
There you can get a full BDU set for at $60. Urban Ops Armory also carries many forms of gear with multicam on it.

Amazon.com also offers a Multicam MOLLE for $104.89 which consist of
  • Highest quality plate carrier that we have! Plate carriers on front and back
  • Comes in the very popular multicam pattern
  • 7 total pouches are included
  • Metal rip cord, Triple stitching, Heavy duty material used
  • Fully adjustable, You can rearrange pouches to your liking

Being a Leader of your Paintball team.

I was looking over "Paintball and Airsoft Battle Tactics" by Christopher E Larsen and I found a chapter on a topic that always interested me, it was on leadership in a paintball team. This is something that's always baffeled me because it doesn't come natural to me. There are a select few people I know that have this "good" leadership qualities and it is rare. Some people try to be a leader, but something about the job fails them. Others, like me, just arn't natural leaders. It would take some kind of work, or training on my part to lead, but in paintball, at some point or another, we all must lead. If you've ever followed you leader, only to see him get shot out and find yourself among less experienced players, then you became a leader at that point, like it or not. So I felt the chapter worth reading, even tho, I am not now, nor never have been a team leader. I found it supprising how humble a leader has to be. A true leader does more for his team, than his team does for him. They do carry each other, but a true leader leads from the front, he boost moral, he looks out for the welfare of others, and he doesn't seek glory or recognition for his efforts, he usually has to take it on the chin and just be proud in his character and abilities.

If topics like this one interest you, or if you have been thinking of taking your woodsball or scearnio game to the next level, then check out Paintball and Airsoft Battle Tactics (Paperback)
